Northspan Explorations Ltd. is a contract drilling company based in Kelowna, British Columbia. We specialize in rapid exploration drilling using in-house designed, reverse circulation and rotary drills. We drill for both major and junior mining companies in diverse geological environments in varying climates ranging from the frozen tundra to the tropical jungle. We have successfully carried out drilling programs in some of the most demanding environments in the world. Northspan’s goal is to increase the chances of mine discovery by allowing you, the client, the opportunity to drill more holes for your budget.
Company History
Northspan was founded by Pat Mooney in Kelowna, BC in 1981. Today the company boasts 30 years of innovation and design based on real drilling experience. Following brief periods in commercial drill manufacturing and in geotechnical drilling, Northspan today focuses on providing cost-effective drilling solutions to the mineral exploration industry. True to our roots, we continue to develop new technology and to refine our existing designs. Our drill fleet includes Hornet RC drills as well as two specialized Hornet XL multi-purpose drills.
